The Tennessee Aquarium’s “Fish and SIPS” fundraiser is set for June 22nd AT the Aquarium. Lots of local and regional breweries will be represented, there will be live music, light bites, and an after-hours tour as well. It’s all to raise money for the Aquarium’s mission of connecting people with nature. Tickets are online at TennesseeAquarium.com and click “Fish And Sips”… 21 and older ONLY, on June 22nd.
For Father’s Day weekend, the city of East Ridge invites all Dads to a special celebration, Saturday June 15th at the Community Center, next to the East Ridge Fire Station. From 1pm til 3pm on the 15th, Dads and families will enjoy hot dogs, yard games, Top Golf, the Splash Water Pad, and more. It’s free, June 15th at the East Ridge Community Center.
“Free Fishing Day” is this Saturday June 8th in the state of Tennessee. Any one of any age can fish for free, even if you don’t actually live in Tennessee. The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency offers free fishing every now and then, to introduce families … to fishing. AND the TWRA has stocked lots of ponds and lakes with thousands of pounds of extra fish, to give you the best fishing experience possible. You don’t need a license to fish in Tennessee, this Saturday the 8th. And kids 15 and younger can then fish for free all week, STARTING Saturday the 8th.
“Chattanooga Presents” has announced another great line-up for their “Three Sisters Bluegrass Festival”. It’s coming up in October at Ross’ Landing, and will be free again this year. Top names in bluegrass will perform, there will be food trucks and tee-shirts for sale too. Mark your calendar for October 4th and 5th for the “Three Sisters Bluegrass Festival,” downtown on the waterfront.
