McKamey Animal Center is celebrating “National Shelter Dog Month” with a Name Your Price Event. This is for all dogs ages 6 months and older. McKamey helps thousands of dogs every year, as they try to find Forever Homes for them. Plus, the animals need blankets and leashes and dry food too. The Baylor School has announced that the Red Raiders 2024 football season opener will be shown on ESPN-TV. The home game was moved to Sunday August 25th at 1pm to be included in the ESPN TV schedule.

The Chattanooza Zoo will open its new “Cape Of Africa Exhibit” to the public beginning August 31st. This new $3 million dollar upgrade will include wart hogs and waterfalls, a larger giraffe area, porcupines, and much more. It will be a permanent part of the Zoo, starting August 31st.
