Volunteers are needed for the medical clinics that are coming to Cleveland on March 22nd and 23rd. The RAM clinics, Remote Area Medical Clinics, offer FREE dental, vision, and medical care, to anyone who couldn’t afford it otherwise. The pop-up clinics will be at the North Cleveland Church of God on 11th Street, and lots of volunteers are needed. Visit RAMusa.org and click “Volunteer”.
The Incline Railway will be closed from February 21st through March 12th, for preventative maintenance check-ups on the tracks and the incline cars.
Tennessee Tree Day is March 16th; reserve your tree choices by March 4th and pick them up at The Chattanooga Nature Center on March 15th. Bug-A-Palooza is April 13th and 14th at Camp Jordan, benefitting the Ronald McDonald House. Classic Volkswagen cars and vans will be everywhere, for show and in competitions.
The Battlefield needs volunteers on March 2nd for their annual “Weed Wrangle”, where you will help remove invasive species that are growing in the Battlefield. Register at NPS.org and click “Get Involved”. That’s NPS.org (for National Park Service).
