1/- The “Collegedale Kids Club” is taking kids ages 6-13 on a behind-the-scenes tour, of the Collegedale Airport. This will be on Thursday the 23rd at 4:00. The kids will meet pilots and tour the airport and the airplanes.
2/- There will be a free candy giveaway, Halloween night at 7pm, in Miller Park, downtown Chattanooga. It’s sponsored by Chattanooga Parks and Outdoors. That’s Oct. 31st at 7pm.
3/- Don’t miss the free “Fireside Concerts” at Greenway Farm in Hixson, Thursday the 23rd and again on Thursday Oct. 30th. The free live shows will be outside, next to a campfire, at the historic log cabin, on the property of Greenway Farm. Bring your blanket, your chair, and your supper!
4/- Volunteers removed about 20,000 pounds of trash from local waterways, during the recent “Tennessee River Rescue”. If you’d like to help with the next River Rescue, or other projects all year long, visit MyWaterWays.org
5/- A huge car show will be at East Hamilton High School, on Saturday Nov. 1st from 10am until 2pm. It’s free to the public, with free food and lots of prizes. Just $10 if you’d like to enter your vehicle for the Car Show. And please bring an unopened toy for the upcoming holidays. Nov. 1st at East Hamilton High.
6/- “Drug Take Back Day” is Saturday Oct. 25th, from 10 until 2… You can drop off unused medicines, vaping pens, and e-cigarette devices, no questions asked. Locations include area Walgreens, also the Elks Lodge on Graysville Road, the Hamilton County Health Department on 3rd Street, the Avondale Community Center on Dodson Avenue, and the new Parkridge North Emergency Room on Lee Highway.
