   Don’t miss another “Star Party” at the Jones Observatory. It’s set for Sunday October 6th at 7pm. The night is free and the family can view the stars through the telescope, and enjoy the planetarium as well. Oct. 6th at UTC’s Jones Observatory on North Tuxedo Avenue in Brainerd.

   The full 144.6-mile Ironman Race is this Sunday Sept. 29th in Chattanooga and North Georgia. Some streets will be closed downtown.

   “Campfire Concerts” continue on Friday Oct. 4th and Friday Oct. 18th,  at Reflection Riding. Enjoy live music and ‘smores around the campfire, so bring your fold-out chair and a blanket. Register at ReflectionRiding.org for “Campfire Concerts”.

   Seasonal burning permits, which will allow you to burn brush and vegetation on your property through the Springtime, will be available starting October 1st. Contact the Air Pollution Control Bureau to purchase your permit, online at APCB.org (for air pollution control bureau) or call (423) 643-5970.

   The next “Police Night Out” is this Tuesday Oct. 1st from 5 til 7pm. It will be held at the South Chattanooga Community Center on West 40th Street, and will be a free night filled with lots of activities. Plus, you’ll meet lots of local police officers. Tuesday night.
