1/ A “Dad’s Weekend Out” Celebration will be Saturday June 14th from 5 til 8pm, in Miller Park. Fathers AND Father Figures will be celebrated with games, music, and a movie. And it’s all FREE, Saturday the 14th in Miller Park. And it’s courtesy of Chattanooga Parks and Outdoors.
2/ The Master Gardeners of Hamilton County invite you to their next Garden Tour, June 14th and 15th. Your $20 admission covers both days, and you’ll tour 5 private gardens and an educational farm.. They are in Hixson and on Signal Mountain, and feature creative water design, yard art, and fabulous flowers as well. 3/ A big Juneteenth celebration will be held at the Bessie Smith Cultural Center, on Thursday June 19th. Admission to the Bessie Smith Center will be free that day; food trucks, kids activities, a live DJ and more. On Thursday June 19th.
4/ The Tennessee Aquarium is ranked #6 on the list of America’s Best Aquariums, in the U.S.A. Today’s “Reader’s Choice Poll”. (#1 was the aquarium in Springfield, Missouri, by the way).
5/ U.S. News & World Report says Tennessee is the 2nd most popular state to move to, in the last year. South Carolina is 1st, Tennessee is a close 2nd.
6/The Great Smoky Mountains National Park has been voted the #1 Park to go hiking in. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park has 348 different hiking trails, and 12 million visitors every year.
