1/- The Missionary Ridge Road Race is this Saturday, August 2nd. It’s a 4.7 mile run, and a 1-mile fun run. Proceeds benefit the American Red Cross of Chattanooga, and you can still register at ChattanoogaTrackClub.org
2/- Have fun at the Chattanooga Zoo when the kids dress up for “Pirates, Parrots, and Princesses”. The event is Saturday, August 9th from 10am til 1pm AT the Zoo. There will be a treasure hunt and a meet-and-greet, plus kids in their favorite Pirate, Parrot, or Princess costumes will get half-price admission that day. 3/- The World’s Longest Yard Sale is August 7th through the 10th, and it’s 690 miles long. It runs from Addison, Michigan down to Gadsden, Alabama, along Highway 127 and The Lookout Mountain Parkway. Get details online at 127YardSale.com.
4/- Southeast Tennessee’s “Project Access”, and “Volunteers In Medicine” are teaming up with “Golfing For Good”. It will be Friday September 12th at Brown Acres. These 2 non-profits provide free health care to un-insured residents in our area, and more than 100,000 people have benefited from their free health care in recent years. 5/- Don’t miss the “Summer Splash Kids Arts Festival”, Saturday August 16th in Miller Park. There will be lots of free art activities for the family, plus live music, local artists, and food vendors too. And the Chattanooga Boys Choir as well. August 16th in Miller Park, from 10 until 3, and it’s free!
