/- It’s “Empty The Shelter” at the McKamey Animal Center, through July 26th. Adoptions are free for adult dogs and cats, and adoptions will be $70 for one puppy, or $70 for TWO kittens. Visit McKameyAnimalCenter.org for more info.
/- Blood Assurance is teaming with Hamilton County E.M.S. for a community blood drive. It’s this Saturday July 11th. From 9am til 2pm this Saturday, head to Miller Park and donate blood, and all blood types are appreciated. This is an effort to re-stock the shelves at Blood Assurance, because we sometimes overlook the need for blood during the summer months. That’s this Saturday at Miller Park.
/- The “Summer Plant Stroll” at Reflection Riding is set for Thursday July 16th at 6pm. Volunteers will take you for a leisurely walk around the property, to enjoy the summer plants and beautiful colors. Learn more or sign up at ReflectionRiding.org
/- “Water Ways” is a local non-profit that spreads the word about clean water in our lakes and rivers, and they’re having a big fund-raiser. This FRIDAY July 10th, from 4pm til 7pm at Red Bank High School, enjoy bouncy houses, face painting, educational information, and much more. It’s all free but donations for “Water Ways” will be accepted. Food trucks will be there too, at the Community Celebration, at Red Bank High School on their track & field area. Friday at 4.
/- The Chattanooga Zoo’s “Q And Brew” is this Saturday July 11th from 6-9pm. You’ll explore the zoo after hours, enjoy bar-b-q, live bluegrass music, and tortoise races too! Tickets for “Q and Brew” are online at ChattZoo.org
/- The Chattanooga World Food Truck Festival is this Saturday July 11th, from 11am til 7pm at The Tennessee Riverpark. Lots of food trucks, inflatables for the kids, cultural booths, ax-throwing, live music, and more. Admission is free at the Tennessee Riverpark this Saturday, for the World Food Truck Festival.
