Walker County will hold a Patriot Day service to recognize and remember first responders on the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attack.
The public service, led by Walker County Fire Rescue and the Walker County Sheriff’s Office, begins at 8:40 a.m. on Friday, September 11, in front of the Walker County Courthouse in LaFayette.

The Bradley County 9/11 Memorial Ceremony is scheduled for Friday, September 11, 2026, at 8:30 a.m at the Bradley County Courthouse

The Marching Mocs will host the blood drive with Blood Assurance on Friday, September 11, from 11:00am to 5:00pm at 752 Vine Street.Organizers hope to collect 100 blood donations, which could help save up to 300 lives.

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) is hosting 9/11: A Day of Remembrance today at noon in the University Center Auditorium to mark the 25th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks.

A Night of Remembrance: From 5 to 7 p.m., the Coolidge National Medal of Honor Heritage Center will host a conversation about service, sacrifice, and the legacy of 9/11, featuring Medal of Honor recipient Leroy Petry and retired four-star Gen. B.B. Bell, a UTC graduate who was serving at the Pentagon on 9/11. Get tickets.
