1/- The Incline is scheduled to open this coming Monday, July 14th. It’s been closed for a few months, after some of the tracks were damaged by wildfires last year. Tickets should be available on their website soon.
2/- The Salvation Army needs your help with their “Beat The Heat” Program. They need bottled water and box fans, to give to those who have no air conditioning, in this intense Summer heat. You can drop off those donations during regular business hours, at The Salvation Army Headquarters. That’s at 800 McCallie Avenue near UTC.. For details you can call (423) 756-1023.
3/- The Humane Society found loving homes for 122 animals during the month of June, and they still need your help. During the “Empty The Shelters” Program, The Humane Society will offer ½ price adoptions on all cats, kittens, rabbits, and dogs. The special price is good through July 19th, and will not apply to puppies . Your new pet will be spayed, get all their shots, and a microchip as well. Plus a toy and a small bag of food. 4/- The Samaritan Center’s “Stock The Lockers Program” continues through August 14th. If your child needs free school supplies, or you would like to donate school supplies, call (423) 238-7777, or drop by the Samaritan Center in Ooltewah.
5/- The Chattanooga Libraries are helping the Chattanooga Food Bank collect canned food items, to help feed our neighbors this Summer. Through July 28th, drop off canned foods at any Chattanooga Library location. They especially need peanut butter, canned vegetables, soups, and pork and beans. That’s through the 28th, at any Library location.
