The Five Items You Must Have When Traveling

There’s a man named Barry Hoffner and he’s visited every country on Earth except for one . . . and he says traveling light is the secret to surviving life on the road.

(In case you were wondering, the only country left for him is North Korea . . . but he plans on going soon.)

According to Barry, here are five things you should never leave home without:

1. A portable power bank. Barry says, “You never know when you’re not going to have electricity.”

2. He also swears by a backpack instead of rolling luggage because some roads and airports just aren’t roller-bag friendly.

3. Merino wool T-shirts. Which seems specific, but he says they can be worn for days without smelling.

4. Earplugs for noisy hotels and city streets.

5. And lastly, and probably most important: Starbucks instant coffee packets . . . for when there’s an emergency.
