If one of your New Year’s resolutions is leaving your dead-end job and finding something more lucrative . . . the internet can help.

People online are listing “Jobs That Pay Extremely Well, But People Don’t Realize It.” Not all of them are an easy pivot . . . but it’s still interesting.

1. Septic tank installation and repair.

2. Nuclear station security guards. “Or pretty much anything in nuclear.”

3. Lighting designer and director, “for private events and broadcast sports.”

4. Surveying. “Not questionnaires . . . LAND surveying.”

5. Elevator technician. (Although you do still have to deal with a lot of ups and downs. HI-YO!)

6. Casino dealers. “They can make over six figures . . . but it’s reliant on tips.”

7. Tennis coaches. (Well, that depends. Let’s just say “coaches and trainers who are REALLY good . . . or who have wealthy clientele.”)

8. Fiber optic cable splicing. “It’s not back-breaking work, and it’s stupid easy, you just gotta have tons of patience.”

9. Certified wastewater treatment operator.

10. Electric pole climber. “The guys that restore power when it goes out.”

11. Aircraft mechanics. “An Airframe & Powerplant license is needed, which is basically two years at a junior college or trade school.”

12. Someone said, “If you have strong soft skills, get an accounting degree. There are so many opportunities if you can understand the financial intricacies of a business AND communicate effectively.”

13. Someone said, “The richest guy on our block is a retired plumber.”

14. And someone said, “I shoot birds at an airport and make around $160K . . . with more vacation days than most Europeans.” Which is . . . fascinating.

Finally, someone commented: “I’ve read every one of these comments, and . . . I think I’m just going to go into crime.”
