/- The biggest fundraiser of the year for the Creative Discovery Museum is this Saturday night, March 7th. It’s called “AMUSE-um”, and it will be a very special evening. Grab tickets before they are gone, at CDMfun.org, and click “events”.
/- The new play area at Enterprise South Nature Park now has a name. Entries from the public were submitted, and the winning name is … Wildwood PlayScape. The new play area should be open in the Spring.
/- There’s a new animal rescue in Chattanooga called Scratch, Inc.. This non-profit finds abandoned feral cats or neighborhood cats, and they do what’s called TNR … trap, neuter, return. And they also feed them, as well as find them homes. If you’d like to donate, visit ScratchInc.org
/- The Hamilton County Coalition invites you to the Justice Center at Eastgate, March 20th at 1:30pm. The community will discuss substance abuse, social media pressures, teenager topics, decision making, and more. It’s an open “Town Meeting” on March 20th, and it’s free of charge. Join the discussion, and bring the teenagers.
/- The Chattanooga River Market opens THIS Saturday and Sunday, the 7th and 8th. Right next to the Tennessee Aquarium, you’ll find local arts & crafts, food trucks, music and more. Every weekend for the next few months.
/-Be a part of the “Citico Creek Litter Clean-up”, this Sunday March 8th. Meet at 12noon at the Carver Rec Center on North Orchard Knob; wear pants and sturdy shoes, and you’ll be given the supplies you need to clean up Citico Creek. That’s this Sunday the 8th. This event is sponsored by the non-profit called “Green Steps”.
