It’s a Miracle We Survived Some of These Dangerous Vintage Toys

A Reddit discussion is going viral again because it wanted to know, “What childhood toy did you have that was actually dangerous?” And the responses are hilarious.
It seems like vintage toys were more about “survival of the fittest” than having a good time. A few of them should have come with personal protective equipment.
1. Lawn Darts . . . Who ever thought this was a good idea?
2. Skip-It . . . You just better have an ice pack for your shins.
3. Click-Clacks . . . Also known as knockers or clackers. These made an annoying sound and would give you a black eye if you weren’t careful.
4. Rollerblade Barbie . . . Her rollerblades could actually create sparks.
5. Vintage Chemistry Sets . . . Some of them contained mercury, radium, and uranium.
6. BB Guns . . . “You’ll shoot your eye out.”
7. Slap Bracelets . . . The early metal versions could really mess you up.
8. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Pizza Shooter . . . It fired thick plastic pizza discs that were hard enough to leave welts.
9. Easy-Bake Oven . . . A hot oven? What could go wrong?
10. Pogo Sticks . . . These things were fun for about five minutes before your mom had to drive you to the hospital.
Here’s the funny part: Looking through the comments, a lot of people are remembering these toys fondly . . . even though they were clearly dangerous. (What’s wrong with us?)
