Today Is the Longest Day of the Year . . . So Don’t Waste It

Summer officially starts TODAY. And that also means it’s the longest day of the year. (In the Northern Hemisphere, at least.)
The summer solstice takes place tonight at exactly 10:42 p.m. Eastern. It marks the moment Earth tilts most toward the Sun, giving people living in the Northern Hemisphere the longest day and shortest night of the year.
So what’s your move to soak up that extra sunlight: Backyard barbecue? Evening walk? First dive into a pool?
Whatever you decide, just don’t waste it and miss out. Because after this weekend, the days start getting shorter. And they’ll finally bottom out when we hit the winter solstice on December 21st.
But let’s not think about that yet.
