1/- Registration is now open for the annual Grateful Gobbler Walk, on Thanksgiving morning in Coolidge Park. You can walk, run, or stroll, to raise money for the McClellan Homeless Shelter For Families. And 100% of your donation will provide emergency shelter, so register today. 2/- Ironman comes back to Chattanooga the weekend of September 27th and 28th, and registration is almost sold out. Competitors will swim 2.4 miles; then bike 112 miles; and run 26.1 miles, for a full 140.5-mile Marathon. And volunteers are needed that weekend as well. 3/- The annual “Bacon And Barrel Festival” is Friday Sept. 26th at First Horizon Pavilion, next to Finley Stadium. Your ticket allows unlimited samples of bacon dishes, and samplings of adult beverages as well. This is a 21-And-Over event only, so choose a Designated Driver, and enjoy the Bacon And Barrel Festival” on the 26th. Proceeds will benefit The Chattanooga Market, which is a non-profit that features local farmers and artists, 8 months of the year.
