Before meeting his wife, Jodie Turner-Smith, Joshua Jackson didn't know if he'd ever get married or have kids. The Dawson's Creek star told The Times in an interview published Sunday (April 16th) that timing made all the difference.

"Partially, it's age," he told the outlet. "I'm old enough to be able to do this. Partially it's about finding somebody in the right moment of life."

He continued, "If we had met five years earlier we probably would have had a torrid affair, but all the rest of this stuff, I was just not ready. I didn't think I ever wanted to get married."

The couple now share a three-year-old daughter named Janie. "It is impossible for me to look into the face of my child without feeling love for my wife," he said. As for being a father, he added, "It has changed me in every single possible way."

REPORT SHOWS F. MURRAY ABRAHAM WAS FIRED FROM ‘MYTHIC QUEST' DUE TO SEXUAL MISCONDUCT: According to a report by Rolling Stone, F. Murray Abraham was fired from the Apple TV+ series Mythic Quest after at least two sexual misconduct complaints were filed against him. The White Lotus star's exit was announced last April. "We take allegations of misconduct seriously and investigate them thoroughly," Lionsgate said in a statement. "As a matter of corporate policy, we do not discuss personnel actions."

WRITERS GUILD OF AMERICA MEMBERS VOTE TO AUTHORIZE STRIKE: According to The Los Angeles Times, members of the Writers Guild of America voted 98% to 2% in favor of a strike authorization. This means that union leaders can call for a strike if they are unable to reach a deal on a new film and television contract. "You have expressed your collective strength, solidarity, and the demand for meaningful change in overwhelming numbers," the WGA said in a statement to its members. "Armed with this demonstration of unity and resolve, we will continue to work at the negotiating table to achieve a fair contract for all writers."

Morgan Freeman is speaking his mind about some commonly used terminology. During a recent interview with The Sunday Times, the Good Person actor shared that he finds "Black History Month" and the term "African-American" to be insulting.

"Black History Month is an insult. You're going to relegate my history to a month?" he told the outlet.

Freeman added, "Also ‘African-American' is an insult. I don't subscribe to that title. Black people have had different titles all the way back to the n-word and I do not know how these things get such a grip, but everyone uses ‘African-American'. What does it really mean? Most black people in this part of the world are mongrels. And you say Africa as if it's a country when it's a continent, like Europe."

The Seven actor also noted how Hollywood has been changing over the years. Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson are so close that they're currently promoting a show called Brother From Another Mother – but is it possible the True Detective costars really are related?

McConaughey recently revealed on Kelly Ripa's Let's Talk Off Camera podcast that he's pretty sure his mom and Harrelson's dad hooked up.

The Oscar winner said, "In Greece a few years ago, we're sitting around talking about how close we are and our families. And my mom is there, and she says, ‘Woody, I knew your dad.' Everyone was aware of the ellipses that my mom left after ‘knew.' It was a loaded K-N-E-W."

The outlet reports that the "Let Me Down Easy," "Look at Us Now (Honeycomb)," and "The River" could all be eligible for nominations.

SAMUEL L. JACKSON TO REPRISE 'THE PIANO LESSON' ROLE: Variety reports that Samuel L. Jackson and John David Washington will star the Netflix adaptation of The Piano Lesson, reprising their roles from the highly successful Broadway revival of August Wilson's play.

On Wednesday (April 12th), Buckingham Palace released a statement announcing that Prince Harry will be attending King Charles and Queen Camilla's Coronation in May. The statement also declared that Meghan Markle will not be in attendance.

"Buckingham Palace is pleased to confirm that The Duke of Sussex will attend the Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey on 6th May. The Duchess of Sussex will remain in California with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet," the statement reads.

According to People, May 6th is also Prince Archie's fourth birthday. Markle will be staying in California to celebrate with Prince Archie and 22-month-old Princess Lilibet.

Howard Stern and Rosie O'Donnell are speaking out about the backlash Bud Light has received for teaming up with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney. This comes after Kid Rock shared a video of himself shooting cans of Bud Light with a semi-automatic weapon in protest of the partnership, and after country music singer Travis Tritt issued a statement announcing that he's boycotting Anheuser-Busch, the company that produces the beer.

"I thought there must be a piece of this story that I'm missing," Stern said on a recent episode of his radio show. "I'm not bothered by gay people or transgender people. They don't impact my life, they don't hurt my life. I love when people are in love. You wanna be a woman? Be a woman. You wanna be a dude, be a dude. Be whatever you fucking want. As long as you ain't hurting anybody, I'm on your team."

On Tuesday's (April 11th) episode of O'Donnell's Onward podcast, the League of Their Own actress said, "Kid Rock had to take an assault weapon and shoot the boxes of beer, proving what? Recently, Arnold Schwarzenegger took it upon himself to fix a pothole that had been troubling residents in the area for weeks. The only problem is—the pothole might have actually been a service trench.

On Tuesday (April 11th), the Terminator actor shared a video of himself fixing the "giant pothole" to Twitter. "Today, after the whole neighborhood has been upset about this giant pothole that's been screwing up cars and bicycles for weeks, I went out with my team and fixed it," he wrote. "I always say, let's not complain, let's do something about it. Here you go."

However, a spokesperson for the City of Los Angeles told NBC, "This location is not a pothole. It's a service trench that relates to active, permitted work being performed at the location by SoCal Gas, who expects the work to be completed by the end of May."

The spokesperson added, "As is the case with similar projects impacting City streets, SoCal Gas will be required to repair the area once their work is completed."

Last month, Matthew McConaughey and his wife, Camila Alves, were on a Lufthansa flight from Austin, Texas, to Frankfurt, Germany, when the pilot had to make an emergency landing at Dulles International Airport in Virginia. The Dallas Buyers Club star spoke about the terrifying experience with Kelly Ripa in a preview clip from the Let's Talk Off Camera podcast.

"It's suspended disbelief. I mean, it's zero gravity," he said. "My tray table is what held me down. I did not have my seatbelt on, and there was not a seatbelt warning right before it happened. Calling it a "hell of a scare," McConaughey said he "immediately reached over, made sure Camila had her seatbelt on."

The FAA told People that this particular flight was 37,000 feet above Tennessee when it experienced "severe turbulence." The plane landed at the airport in Virginia "without incident," but seven people were hospitalized.

JEREMY RENNER MAKES FIRST RED-CARPET APPEARANCE SINCE SNOWPLOW ACCIDENT: On Tuesday (April 11th), Jeremy Renner attended the premiere of his Disney+ docuseries Rennervations in Los Angeles. According to Today, this marks the Avengers star's first red-carpet appearance since his devastating snowplow accident on New Year's Day. Renner's family, including his 10-year-old daughter Ava, joined him at the premiere. Later, during a Q&A led by Jimmy Kimmel, the Mayor of Kingstown actor commented on the snowplow that was involved in the accident. "It was the worst blind date ever with me and Brody. Like the absolute worst. And the worst thing about it was that probably one of my most embarrassing moments was that night because we were not vibing at all," Kramer said. "He said something to me, and I was like, 'That's it, I'm leaving.' But there were mirrors. There were mirrors on the walls," she added. "Little do I know, the exit sign walks me right in. It was the reflection because it's all a f—ing mirror. So I slam right into the mirror."

HBO MAX CHANGES ITS NAME TO MAX: Deadline reports that the streaming platform HBO Max will be going by the moniker Max instead. The rebrand represents a merger between Warner Bros. Discovery and HBO Max. The platform is set to launch on May 23rd.

MAX ORDERS ‘HARRY POTTER' TV SERIES: Variety reports that a "decade-long" Harry Potter series is officially in the works at Max. J.K. Rowling is set to executive produce the show, and a whole new cast is expected. Casey Bloys, CEO of HBO & Max Content, said in a statement, "Harry Potter is a cultural phenomenon and it is clear there is such an enduring love and thirst for the Wizarding World. In partnership with Warner Bros. Television and J.K. Rowling, this new Max Original series will dive deep into each of the iconic books that fans have continued to enjoy for all of these years."

A NEW ‘BIG BANG THEORY' SERIES IS IN THE WORKS: In other Max news, fans can expect a new Big Bang Theory series, according to The Hollywood Reporter. This will mark the second offshoot from the original show. Plot details are being kept under wraps for now.

Jeremy Renner appeared on Monday's (April 10th) episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! and further detailed his injuries following a devastating snowplow accident on New Year's Day.

Commenting on his "35 or so" broken bones, the Avengers star said, "We kept discovering them as we were going along. It went from critical order, like, priority of what I'm going to die from or not. And then six weeks later, I'm finding another break and another break and another break."

Still, Renner said he feels lucky to have survived the incident. "It just missed every vertebrae, didn't hit any organs, didn't hit my brain, didn't swell, nothing like that. My eye did pop out, that's weird," the Mayor of Kingstown actor said. "But I got pretty lucky that none of my organs got messed up. It pierced my liver but that wasn't dangerous."

Despite being in good spirits on the show, Renner later added, "I promise you I'm in a ton of pain."

PAUL RUDD SENDS JEREMY RENNER A FAKE CAMEO VIDEO

Renner also told Jimmy Kimmel on Monday (April 10th) that Paul Rudd sent him a fake Cameo after the accident to wish him well. "He made a fake one — I didn't even ask him to — he made a fake one like I'd paid him money for a Cameo," Renner said.

In the clip shared by Kimmel, Rudd says, "Hi Jerry, I hear you're a little banged up. Got in a fight with a snowblower apparently?" The Ant-Man actor continued, "Anyway, I just wanted to send this video. It's really from the heart. I hope you're feeling better. Sounds like you are. Apparently, you're a pretty tough guy."

Rudd added, "Maybe I'll get to meet you one day. Wouldn't that be something?"

Millie Bobby Brown took to Instagram on Tuesday (April 11th) to share the news that she and Jake Bongiovi are engaged!
