ANNIE WERSCHING DIES AT 45: Deadline reports that 24 actress Annie Wersching passed away on Sunday (January 29th) at the age of 45. Many in Hollywood were shocked by the news, as Wersching privately battled cancer since she was diagnosed in 2020. Wersching held a number of roles in popular shows such as Bosch, Timeless, The Rookie, and Star Trek: Picard. She also voiced the character Tess in the video game The Last of Us. Her husband, Stephen Full, said in a statement, "There is a cavernous hole in the soul of this family today. But she left us the tools to fill it. She found wonder in the simplest moment. AMY ROBACH AND T.J. HOLMES EXIT ‘GMA3' FOLLOWING INTERNAL REVIEW: People reports that Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes will not be returning to GMA3: What You Need To Know, following ABC's internal review into their relationship. A spokesperson for the network told the outlet, "After several productive conversations with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes about different options, we all agreed it's best for everyone that they move on from ABC News. THE ACADEMY OF MOTION PICTURE ARTS AND SCIENCES IS ‘CONDUCTING A REVIEW OF CAMPAIGN PROCEDURES:' According to Deadline, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced on Friday (January 27th) that they are "conducting a review of the campaign procedures around this year's nominees" following last week's nominations. Some are speculating that this is in response to Andrea Riseborough's surprise nomination for Best Actress—after stars like Demi Moore, Jane Fonda, Naomi Watts, Kate Winslet, and Laura Dern campaigned for her nomination on social media. "It is the Academy's goal to ensure that the Awards competition is conducted in a fair and ethical manner, and we are committed to ensuring an inclusive awards process. We are conducting a review of the campaign procedures around this year's nominees, to ensure that no guidelines were violated, and to inform us whether changes to the guidelines may be needed in a new era of social media and digital communication," the statement read.

ALAN CUMMING RETURNS BRITISH HONOR: On Friday (January 27th), The Traitors host Alan Cumming revealed on Instagram that he returned the OBE (Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) that he received in 2009. "Fourteen years ago, I was incredibly grateful to receive it in the 2009 Queen's birthday honours list, for it was awarded not just for my job as an actor but ‘for activism for equal rights for the gay and lesbian community, USA,'" he wrote. "The Queen's death and the ensuing conversations about the role of monarchy and especially the way the British Empire profited at the expense (and death) of indigenous peoples across the world really opened my eyes. Also, thankfully, times and laws in the US have changed, and the great good the award brought to the LGBTQ+ cause back in 2009 is now less potent than the misgivings I have being associated with the toxicity of empire (OBE stands for Officer of the British Empire). So I returned my award, explained my reasons and reiterated my great gratitude for being given it in the first place. I'm now back to being plain old Alan Cumming again."

Pamela Anderson is making it very clear how she feels about the Hulu series Pam & Tommy. In a new cover story for Variety, she called the show's creators "a—holes."

"Salt on the wound. … You still owe me a public apology," she added. The Baywatch actress said she hasn't watched the show at all, but she commented that a billboard promoting it "looked like a Halloween costume."

Gerard Butler recalled his time with Hilary Swank on the set of P.S. I Love You during a recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show. The 300 actor revealed that Swank was hospitalized due to a mishap while the pair were filming.

"She's so cool, and good to work with, that I almost killed her," he said, commenting on a scene in which he was wearing suspenders. "At one point, the clip, which was a crocodile clip, got stuck in the television as I'm crawling towards her. She's right in front of me, and she's laughing hysterically. This thing… the camera people had these plastic fronts to protect themselves from this crocodile, it was so dangerous. Because I had to ping it, and it would go past my face."

He continued, "It gets stuck. It releases, flies over my head, hits her in the head, slashes her head. I cut her open. You could even see the teeth of the clip. She has to get taken to the hospital."

The Tomorrow Never Dies actor added that he was shocked after the accident occurred. "I'm just sitting there in my Irish boxer shorts and my boots and a pair of socks. And I just started crying. ‘I just scarred Hilary Swank, I almost took her eye out," he said.

LANCE KERWIN DIES AT 62: Variety reports that James at 15 star Lance Kerwin died on Tuesday (January 24th) at the age of 62. His cause of death has not yet been revealed. In addition to James at 15, Kerwin held roles in movies and TV shows such as Salem's Lot, Wonder Woman, Insight, and The Family Holvak. One of his final roles included the 1995 movie Outbreak, before returning to acting in 2022's The Wind and the Reckoning.

ADAM SCOTT RETURNS TO CATERING IN ‘PARTY DOWN' TRAILER: According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Starz catering comedy Party Down will be back on February 24th for a third season—13 years after the second season ended. In the trailer released on Thursday (January 26th), Parks and Recreation actor Adam Scott reprises his role as actor-bartender Henry Pollard and says, "This is not how I envisioned my 40s." Original cast members Jane Lynch, Ken Marino, Martin Starr, Ryan Hansen, and Megan Mullally are returning to the series as well.

CHECK OUT THE TRAILER FOR ‘WE HAVE A GHOST:' According to Entertainment Weekly, Netflix dropped the trailer for We Have a Ghost on Thursday (January 26th), featuring David Harbour as a ghost that goes viral. Director Christopher Landon told the outlet, "We Have a Ghost is about a slightly dysfunctional family that moves into an old haunted house. Instead of being scared off by the ghost, like everyone else, they decide to double down, and their dad, Frank, who is played by Anthony Mackie, creates a YouTube channel and makes the ghost and his family internet-famous." Jennifer Coolidge, Tig Notaro, Jahi Winston, and Isabella Russo all star in the show as well.

Machine Gun Kelly's biopic, Good Mourning has been nominated for seven Razzies for the Golden Raspberry Awards. Though this may sound positive, it's quite the opposite. The award show's goal is to honor the year's worst movies.

Good Mourning is nominated for Worst Picture, Worst Screenplay, and two nominations for Worst Supporting Actor. Those nods going to Mod Sun and Pete Davidson. The movie is also up for Worst Actor, Worst Director, and Worst Onscreen Combo.

The only film that had more nominations than MGK was the Marilyn Monroe biopic called Blonde.

Jeremy Renner's snow plow accident occurred because he was trying to save his nephew from harm.

According to a Nevada sheriff's office incident report obtained by CNN, the Avengers star was towing his grown nephew's car out of the snow when the Pistenbully snow groomer began sliding, causing Renner to exit the plow without setting the parking break.

The Washoe County Sheriff's Office report added, "Although the Pistenbully had some mechanical issues, it is believed based on our mechanical inspection that the parking brake would keep the Pistenbully from moving forward. When Renner attempted to stop or divert the Pistenbully to avoid injury to (his nephew), he was pulled under the vehicle by the track and run over."

Additionally, the break light indicator inside the cab was broken, which may have been a factor in the accident.

Netflix has issued a statement after contestants in its Squid Games-inspired competitions series complained about the show's filming conditions.

Variety reports that a small number of contestants needed medical attention Monday (January 23rd) after a game of "Red Light Green Light" played during Britian's cold snap caused health challenges.

The streamer said in a statement obtained by the outlet, "We care deeply about the health and safety of our cast and crew, and invested in all the appropriate safety procedures. While it was very cold on set—and participants were prepared for that—any claims of serious injury are untrue."

According to the report, fewer than five of the 456 Squid Game: The Challenge contestants required medical attention. One participant was believed to have injured their shoulder after running into a wall and others were treated for "mild ailments."

Chelsea Handler claims she didn't realize she'd been put on Ozempic just to lose a few pounds.

The comedian told the Call Her Daddy podcast Wednesday (January 24th) that her anti-aging doctor "just hands" the diabetes drug "out to anybody…to drop five pounds."

She said she had no idea what she was on until she had lunch with a friend who was taking the drug and experiencing similar symptoms, such as nausea.

The 95th annual Academy Award nominations were announced on Tuesday (January 24th), and Everything Everywhere All at Once took the lead with 11 nods. The Banshees of Inisherin and All Quiet on the Western Front followed close behind with nine nods each. All three films are nominated for Best Picture, alongside big box office hits like Avatar: The Way of Water and Top Gun: Maverick.

Variety reports that this year's lineup is historic for Asian actors, who received more nominations in 2023 than any year prior. Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, and Stephanie Hsu were all nominated for their roles in Everything Everywhere All at Once, while Hong Chau was nominated for her role in The Whale.

However, as no Black actors were nominated in the lead acting categories and no women were nominated for Best Director, some are criticizing the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences over a lack of diversity. Till director Chinonye Chukwu wrote on Instagram Tuesday (January 24th): "We live in a world and work in industries that are so aggressively committed to upholding whiteness and perpetuating an unabashed misogyny towards Black women."

Two of the biggest snubs this year include Viola Davis in The Woman King and Danielle Deadwyler in Till. Other snubs include Tom Cruise in Top Gun: Maverick and Brad Pitt in Babylon.

Those celebrating include Brendan Fraser, who received his first Oscar nomination for Best Actor in The Whale, and Austin Butler for his role in Elvis. Butler dedicated his nomination to Lisa Marie Presley. Angela Bassett also celebrated her nod for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, as did Jamie Lee Curtis for Everything Everywhere All at Once.

On Monday night (January 23rd), Priscilla Presley took to Twitter to thank everyone for their support, following her late daughter Lisa Marie Presley's memorial service at Graceland on Sunday (January 22nd). This marks Priscilla's first social media post since Lisa Marie passed away on January 12th.

"Thank you all for your condolences," the Dallas actress wrote. "You have touched me with your words. It has been a very difficult time but just knowing your love is out there makes a difference."

At the service, Priscilla shared a poem written by one of her granddaughters. The poem read, in part, "In 1968 she entered our world, born fragile, tired, yet strong. She was delicate, but was filled with life. She always knew she wouldn't be here too long." Later, Priscilla added, "Our heart is broken, Lisa, and we all love you."

Following this, on Tuesday (January 24th), Lisa Marie's daughter Riley Keough shared a photo to Instagram from the last time she saw her mother. "I feel blessed to have a photo of the last time I saw my beautiful mama. Grateful @georgieflores took this," she wrote.

Shortly after Pamela Anderson claimed that Tim Allen flashed his penis at her on the set of Home Improvement in 1991, a video resurfaced showing Allen flashing his Home Improvement costar, Patricia Richardson.

In a blooper with his onscreen wife, played by Richardson, Allen is wearing a kilt. Richardson jokes about the garment, "Hangs long, I just wish it was shorter." Following this, Allen lifts the kilt—much to the surprise of Richardson.

However, Richardson told TMZ, "People ask me what was under the kilt when he flashed me, he was well dressed under there, I was just shocked that he lifted the kilt, not by a man in boxer shorts."

Allen has denied Anderson's claims, saying in a statement, "No, it never happened. I would never do such a thing." The Baywatch actress told Vanity Fair in an exclusive statement, "This true story is just one of many surreal and uncomfortable situations I learned to navigate … My book goes into how it made me feel over the course of my life and, in this case, my career. I have no ill will toward Tim. But like the rest, it should never have happened."

Khloe Kardashian took to Instagram on Tuesday (January 24th) to remember Tristan Thompson's mother, Andrea Thompson, who passed away earlier this month due to a heart attack. In a touching post, she wrote, "This has been one of the toughest times in so many of our lives."

The Kardashians star shared photos of Andrea smiling and having fun with Tristan, True, and other members of the family. "I have been avoiding this…. Avoiding accepting this is real," she wrote. "I have so many emotions and still I feel numb. Life can be brutally unfair at times and This has been one of the toughest times in so many of our lives."

She continued, "But at the same time, I feel blessed that I am lucky to have had someone that makes saying goodbye so incredibly difficult. So difficult that I'm choosing not to say goodbye for good because that is something I cannot fathom."

Kardashian has been supporting Tristan since Andrea's death. "I know you never wanted to leave your boys. They are your entire world. They will learn to live with the hole in their hearts because they are warriors just like their warrior mommy," Kardashian wrote.

Savannah's parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, reported to their respective prisons last week. "Last week was extremely difficult for my family as a whole and each of us individually," she said. "We kind of had to say goodbye to my parents for somewhat, for a little bit of time for the foreseeable future and that was really, really, really tough." Savannah added, "I may seem happy-go-lucky and during that time there was a lot of hope that was had. I wasn't faced with the reality of the situation. This was pre-life falling apart."

CO-CREATOR OF ‘SESAME STREET' LLOYD MORRISETT DIES AT 93: Lloyd Morrisett, one of the co-creators of Sesame Street, has died at the age of 93. Sesame Workshop announced the news via Twitter on Monday (January 23rd): "Sesame Workshop mourns the passing of our esteemed and beloved co-founder Lloyd N. Morrisett, PhD, who died at the age of 93." Joan Ganz Cooney told USA Today in a statement, "Without Lloyd Morrisett, there would be no Sesame Street. It was he who first came up with the notion of using television to teach preschoolers basic skills, such as letters and numbers." She added, "He will be sorely missed."

MADONNA BIOPIC IS NO LONGER IN THE WORKS AT UNIVERSAL PICTURES: Variety reports that the highly anticipated biopic about Madonna, which the "Material Girl" singer was set to direct herself, is no longer in development at Universal Pictures. This comes after she announced her world tour last week.

ADULT SWIM CUTS TIES WITH JUSTIN ROILAND FOLLOWING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CHARGES: Deadline reports that Adult Swim is no longer working with Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland, as he faces felony domestic violence charges. "Adult Swim has ended its association with Justin Roiland," a spokesperson told the outlet in a statement. Rick and Morty is set to continue, and the character Roiland voices will be recast.

‘CLUELESS' CAST TO REUNITE AT ‘90S CON: According to Entertainment Tonight, Clueless stars Alicia Silverstone, Stacey Dash, and Elisa Donovan will be reuniting at That's4Entertainment's 90's Con 2023 in Hartford, Connecticut, in March. "I am so excited about the reunion with my 90s peeps," Dash told the outlet.
